Thanks for using the app - we appreciate. Having said that there are some things "we" (creator, co-founder, and all involved in the project) would like to clear up. By using the application, Yummy Scan, you agree to the following.
You are using this application at your own risk. Should the application cause a disastrous meal to death - "we", the creator, co-founder, third parties (involved in the creation of the application) will NOT be held responsible. Cases including emotional and physical damages of person or people (including property) are also included as part of the agreement. "Included" in the sense that "we" are not responsible.
The camera on your phone is used to capture UPC barcode numbers. The UPC data is the only data being genrated and analyzed from the camera.
The free advertisement version of Yummy Scan uses GPS for advertisement purpose(s) only. "We" do not store your location data, however, we do not guarantee if all of our third party service providers (used for data and other technologies used within our app) store or do not store any specific data about your user session and/or user data. Which includes general data of location and IP (specific address of a connected device on the Internet or network). The paid version does not use GPS capability for advertising purpose.
Free version of Yummy Scan is limited to 30 valid scans per day (product found by UPC with recipes result) - while the paid version is limited to 60 valid scans. The restriction of scans per day will subject to change from time to time. And we don't like to put any restrictions on our users but we need it to keep our operations under budget.
Most importantly, this application is an experiment. "We" do not gurantee 100% accurate recipe search results. A word of advice - scan general items such as beans, or peas. Results out of scanning packaged and canned food works really well.
